After the 3DEXPERIENCE platform rolled out, Dassault Systèmes is putting more effort in developing and marketing the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
We used to have SOLIDWORKS World every year, physical event at United State, exclusive event, only invited personnel, resellers or VIP guests are allowed to join. During the event day, they would talk about SOLIDWORKS new features, development plan of R&D team on SOLIDWORKS, cover a little bit on the DraftSight development, specific areas to highlight of other solutions and manufacturing products. It also comes with a model mania event to test our participants’ skills. All those great things happened in the past events left everyone feel nostalgic.
Right at the time, when COVID-19 pandemic struck, all physical events have been cancelled to ensure everyone is safe. Cloud solutions have been widely introduced, online events are happening everywhere to ensure everyone gets in touch virtually, to update themself to the latest information from Dassault Systèmes. Now, the physical event is back, instead of SOLIDWORKS WORLD, the event now is known as 3DEXPERIENCE World. It is a sign of everyone to move forward, to accept changes and digital transformations in manufacturing industry.

What can we expect from the event?
We will expect to have a grand opening from Dassault Systèmes’ directors, general sharing on Dassault Systèmes’ vision for incoming year 2022, briefing or introduction to the panel session, and invited guests who display their company products in these few days.
Since the name of the event is 3DEXPERIENCE World, we are going to expect more new features, applications and roles, and improvements that have been introduced in the platform. As usual, we are going to see more success stories after implementation of the platform, details of the platform application and how this cloud solution speeds up the transformation in manufacturing industry. We will expect to have more sessions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform during the event days.

How the design and simulation solutions help to minimize incidents in the mining industry
As SOLIDWORKS is still part of the main solutions under Dassault Systèmes, we will still expect to have several sessions of SOLIDWORKS, which we will talk about What’s New, the enhancements and improvements on SOLIDWORKS and other multi-products. Several sessions will also be running to introduce how 3DEXPERIENCE innovates and collaborates with your existing SOLIDWORKS software.

Surprisingly, based on this year’s agenda, more DraftSight sessions have been scheduled. If you are interested to convert to DraftSight from other 2D CAD tools, this is the time for you to explore. There will be another session where we will talk about 3DEXPERIENCE collaborates with DraftSight, be sure to join all the sessions to let yourself update to date all the information about DraftSight!
How to join 3DEXPERIENCE World 2022
Currently, based on the schedule released in the event calendar, we are going to have three types of event style. The first one will be the physical, in-person style of event, where people gather in the event hall in order to be the first person to get the information before others. Interactions, Q&A session with the solutions partner will directly happen during the day.
Since the event is going to be hybrid style (physical and virtual event run simultaneously) as well, the virtual event comes with two different access: the normal access and the VIP access. VIP access comes with more special sessions, especially on the software demonstration and explanation, and key features for the solutions.
If you choose to go with the normal virtual access, which is free now, mostly probably you can join the general session, and some of the basic virtual session during the events.
We still have not received any information whether all the sessions will be available for everyone as recorded session or it’s going to be uploaded to their official YouTube channel after the major event. I guess we only can wait for more updates soon.
3DEXPERIENCE World 2022 is open for registration now
The event will be held in February 6th to 9th 2022 at Georgia World Congress Center in Alanta, GA.
