DraftSight 2D Training

Objective

The Introduction to DraftSight course will discuss the fundamental of drawing technique involve in product design. This will include:

  • Identify the principal components of the DraftSight user interface.
  • Settings on Snap, Grid, Polar and Esnap
  • Understand the Cartesan Coordinate System to draw.
  • Draw using line, circle and arc.
  • Add dimensions to line, angular, radius, diameter & ordinate dimension.
  • Learn and understand the difference between LINE and PLINE command.
  • Assign linestyle, lineweight, and objects on layer.
  • Understand the uses of blocks and insert block in a drawing.
  • Identify and differentiate between Sheet mode and Model mode.
  • Create basic Isometric drawing and use Isoplane command and switch the plane
