Khairul Hafiz Sharkawi received his BSc in Geoinformatics, MSc in Geoinformatics and his PhD in Geoinformatics (3D GIS) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He has 10 years of experience in planning, executing and managing academic research projects, and involved in several consultation and development projects related to GIS. He is the author or co-author of over 30 scientific publications and member of the Programme Committee for several international conferences.

Director for Malaysia Design Council. His experiences in Design, Image and Identity formation across various design fields from the academic institution to industry place him as a reference figure for design related issues. The management development in industry including as a Design Manager for Nomad Automation UK, Designer at Motor Panels UK, Adjunct Professors and Board of Studies for numerous higher institutions becomes evidences of his passions on design.

Dr Wan Wardatul Amani Wan Salim is the first Malaysian to launch a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) satellite to space and entrusted to lead a team of 28 scientists, technologists and engineers to work on NASA’s first ever “astrobiology” programme. Dr Amani received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Ph.D. in BioMEMS and Microelectronics from Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University.
